Fund Supermarkets and Investment Platforms
A range of investment platforms and fund supermarkets allow you to invest online, manage your portfolio and buy UK listed shares for yourself and for a child. These sites do not give you advice, they simply allow you to invest. Many of these sites also offer ‘wrapper’ products like Individual Savings Accounts (ISA) and Self-invested Personal Pension plans (SIPP).
Many websites ask for a stock exchange ticker code to identify individual companies, which for Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust Shares is “TEM”. You can search for TEMIT shares using the TEM reference on most Fund Supermarkets and Investment Platforms.

Investing for a child – Junior ISA
Most Fund Supermarkets and Investment Platforms allow you to invest for children and it can be an effective way to invest for your children's future. As minors cannot hold shares in their own right, you will generally need an adult to act as a guardian or donor to any gift of shares in products such as the Templeton Investment Plan until the minor reaches 18. (Please note: The favourable tax treatment of Junior ISAs are not guaranteed and could be changed by the Government in the future.)
