Ms Sarika Patel has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director, effective 1 January 2025.

Ms Patel will take on the role of Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee (“ARC”) and will work closely in the coming months with Mr Jeffreys, current Chair of ARC to ensure an orderly handover of the role. Mr Jeffreys was appointed in 2016 and will retire from the Board following the conclusion of the AGM in July 2025.

Ms Patel is currently Chair of abrdn Equity Income Trust and chairs the Audit and Risk Committee of SDCL Energy Efficiency Income Trust. She is an experienced business leader having worked as a senior corporate finance professional at Zeus Caps (a principal investment and advisory platform focused on infrastructure and related sectors operating in India, Europe and the Middle East) and Grant Thornton.
She also serves as Chair of Action for Children and as a non-executive director of the Office for Nuclear Regulation. Previously Ms Patel was Audit and Risk Committee Chair of both Foresight Sustainable Forest Company and Sequoia Economic Infrastructure Income Fund. She is a chartered accountant, a chartered marketer, and holds an LLB from the University of Mumbai and an MSC E-business from the University of the West of Scotland.
